7 Mukhi Rudraksha (Saptmukhi Rudraksha) or Seven faced Rudraksha is blessed by Goddess Mahalaxmi. It bestows fame and wealth. It is better if Ashtamukhi (Ganesha) Rudraksha is also worn along with it, although Saptamukhi (7 faced Rudraksha) in itself is very effective. As per astrology the ruling planet of Saptmukhi Rudraksha is Saturn. Therefore, any negative effects caused by Saturn is removed by this Rudraksha.
According to the Padma Puran, seven divine serpents including Ananta, the king of serpents, reside in the seven faces of Saptamukhi Rudraksha. So, it is believed that this Rudraksha is blessed by the Serpent God and hence the wearer is protected from the life-threatening negative effects.
Benefits of Saptmukhi (7 Mukhi) Rudraksha: 7 faced Rudraksha has many medicinal benefits. It helps people recovering from paralysis and is beneficial in various bone-related disorders, nerves, neck and lower back pain. Moreover, it provides relief from joint pains. Also, it strengthens the functioning of kidneys.
Method of wearing Rudraksha: 7 Mukhi (seven faced) Saptmukhi Rudraksha should be worn on Monday or Friday. It is considered auspicious if worn in the month of Shravan. Mix milk, honey, curd, ghee and sugar in a copper bowl, now bathe the Rudraksh in this mixture. Thereafter, bathe it in Gangajal. Put it on a red cloth at the place of worship. Chant the Mantra “Om Hum Namah” by lighting a cow’s ghee lamp and wear it around your neck as a pendant or as you may wish. It can be worn in gold or silver or metal capping.
